Compact 5-axis machines designed to stack into a lights-out factory

SIMUL CNC Innovation is a Danish machine-tool company in Veksø. We design and build the Unicorn 5-200 Modular, a compact 5-axis machining center made to stack: start with one module, add robot loading when needed, and scale to a cluster designed to run nights and weekends.

What we make

Unicorn 5-200 Modular

The first machining center from SIMUL: a compact 5-axis machining center with a 0-60,000 rpm HSK-E32 spindle, 78+1 tool positions, and a FANUC 31i-B5 Plus control on a mineral-cast base.

Automation and stacking

A FANUC LR Mate robot cell is designed to load the machine through the automation door. Modules are designed to dock side by side and share tool, pallet, and material handling.

From one module to a cluster

The machine is the building block of a production system. Each step keeps every module you already own.

How it scales
  1. One Unicorn 5-200 Modular machining module

    1One module

  2. A machining module with a robot cell

    2Add robot loading

  3. A cluster of machining modules designed to share tool, pallet, and material handling

    3Share automation and logistics

  4. A large cluster of machining modules designed to run lights-out

4A fully integrated cluster running lights-out

Who we are

SIMUL CNC Innovation builds compact, modular CNC machine tools in Veksø, northwest of Copenhagen, with automation in the design from the start. The goal: more production output with less manual machine tending, on less floor space, at a cost a small or mid-size shop can carry.

More than 50 manufacturers across Europe and the USA have given feedback on the design and its concept iterations throughout the design process of the U5-200M. The result is a machine and automation concept that solves real problems in real production environments. Technical questions are answered by the people who build the machine, and we support the machines we deliver for the long term.
