No cookies. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner: nothing on the site asks for your consent, because nothing needs it.
Who is responsible. SIMUL ApS, address above, is the data controller. We have not appointed a data protection officer. Write to info@simulcnc.com with any privacy question.
Delivering the site
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect each page, Cloudflare processes the technical data your browser sends with every request: IP address, the page requested, the page you came from, browser and device type, time, and approximate location. Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) does this as our processor. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not store IP addresses ourselves.
Visit statistics
We count visits on our server, from the same page requests, so nothing runs or is stored in your browser. For each page view we record the page address and its campaign tags (such as utm_source), the site you came from, your country, the device type (phone, tablet, or computer), and whether the page opened in an app's built-in browser (Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn). To group one day's page views into one visit, our server turns your IP address, browser details, and a random value that changes every day into a short visitor code. The random value is deleted after two days, so visitor codes from different days cannot be linked, and the IP address itself is never stored. Requests from search engines and AI services, such as Googlebot or ChatGPT, are counted separately: we record the service's name, the page, the response status, whether it asked for a Markdown version, and the country of the requesting server, with no visitor code. Requests for a page that does not exist are recorded with the page address, the site the request came from, and what sent the request, as far as our server can tell (a person's browser, a named search engine or AI service, another program, or unknown), with no visitor code. Every record carries its date and time. The records are kept in Cloudflare's analytics database for three months. We look at totals, such as visits per page, traffic sources, and campaigns, and we cannot identify you from them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how visitors find and use the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The inquiry form and email
When you send the inquiry form, we receive the name, email address, and message you typed, the drawing if you attach one, and the address of the page on this site you opened the form from. We use them to answer your request and for the follow-up you ask for. Legal basis: the steps you ask for before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)). Without a name, an email address, and a message we cannot answer you.
The form message is delivered by email through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) as our processor, into our mailbox at Simply.com in Denmark. Email you send us directly goes to the same mailbox. We count form submissions as a single number, with no personal data. Each submission is also recorded as one lead in the visit statistics, without your name, email address, or message: the lead record holds the address of the page you opened the form from (or of the form page itself) and campaign tags, your country, the device type, whether the page opened in an app's built-in browser, and that day's visitor code, which links it to the pages viewed that day so we can see which traffic source led to the inquiry. We do not send newsletters, run automated email sequences, or sell or pass on your details.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare and Resend are US companies. Transfers to them rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023), with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing agreements as the fallback. Ask us for a copy of these safeguards: info@simulcnc.com.
How long we keep data
We keep an inquiry while the conversation about it is open, and delete it once it no longer serves that purpose, unless it leads to a business relationship. Records of a business relationship are kept as long as Danish bookkeeping law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we do so where the law allows.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted, or handed to you in a portable format. Write to info@simulcnc.com.
Your right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interest (delivering the site, visit statistics, answering inquiries), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your situation. Write to us and we stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the data for legal claims.
We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles. If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency), datatilsynet.dk.
